Let us pray for those in need of a miracle, and those who help them achieve one

A Different Take on Health Care: A Trip to Lourdes. A 1985 accident left Marcel Roeg brain-damaged and blind. Since then he has spent most of his time harboring a dream to visit the famous place [of healing]. Last month, he actually made the trip to Lourdes–thanks to his insurance company, VGZ.

God bless the insurance company exec who ok’d the expediture to send this man…

I’ve been outraged–that’s too strong–put off by the “TV sharks” over the years who callously prey on the infirmed in the name of Jesus…and yet, there is a mystique, rooted, I suppose, in my personal Catholic upbringing, concerning miracles and Lourdes. The Mother Cabrini shrine in Colorado, as well. A very close-to-home “miracle” occurred there many years ago. These wonderful, unexpainable healings jar the rational side of my brain; make me travel back to a time when faith and reason walked peacefully inside my heart.
Funny how your postings work on readers.
I’ll be curious to pull up the article in the Wall Street Journal, hopeful when I research Marcel Roeg. I suspect something wondrous followed his visit. I hope so.
Whatever the outcome, the insurance company’s action should be more than commended. We should all take note and ponder its significance in our daily lives.
Thanks for sharing.

I am praying for a lot of people in need of a miracle this week as we watch So. California burn. Pray hard for the firefighters who are helping to stop this tragedy. I am also praying that the insurance people sent to help, do the right and just thing.

Tim LeVecke says:

Pilgrimages are miracluious. The miracles happen in different forms of healing. A renewed awarness of the presence of the Almighty as well as a genuine feeling of renewal to counter life’s challenges are the gifts typically received on Pigrimage. Bless all the pilgrims and the Peace that is theirs.

Hi, we are a family with one child who is post bone marrow transplant i nUK. We are out of our country. She is still struggling with her immunity building system. W e are at the moment totaly dedicated to our 20 month old daughter and sometimes we feel we are losing our mind with worry and also with the continuous care that she needs. She had two infections within the last 5 weeks and we are at the moment waiting until we get docotrs to call us about her liver function today.

Yes we need a miracle. Maybe we have been living a miracle these last 4 months since she is doing considerably well nothwithstanding what she is going tghrough.

thanks for your prayers

Helene Markel says:

Miracles and healing happen every day, usually based purely on Love. Lourdes is filled with Love through the presence of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Through Her love so much is possible.

God touched the heart of people who helped Marcel Roeg’s dream to go to Lourdes a reality. My prayers go with Marcel that God touch him with His healing hands. Lourdes is a very miraculous pilgrim place. The sweet hand and care of Mother Mary will caress his body to effect healing.

There is a miracle working for him!!!
